Pics and words from Kori

Hi Andrea,
This is Kori Williamson (was Wood) and you did the flowers for my wedding on July 25th. I just wanted to tell you I've finally gotten around to writing some rave reviews about you and your business on the web, and I wanted to say thank you again. The flowers were more beautiful than I had imagined and that day was the best day of my life so far---can't wait to see what event will make me feel even happier than my wedding day did! I am so happy you were able to help us on the tight budget we were on (the whole wedding came in at around $4,500 for everything including my dress and Brent's suit) when other florists practically laughed us out the door. I thought I'd send you some pictures of the flowers in the wedding, which I attached. I hope business is booming:)
Thank you,
Kori Williamson

Wait, did I say I LOVE garden roses?

Bridal bouquet comprised of all pinks including garden roses, hybrid roses, lisianthus and veronica. Bridesmaids of roses and lisianthus. LOVE IT!

Keep it simple

Just a simple red rose bouquet, nothing at all wrong with that! Smaller sweethearts break up the bouquet to show a bit more texture. The stems were wrapped in her mothers bouquet, always a nice "something old".

Indiana Memorial Union

This week I worked a wedding at the IMU with the wedding held in the courtyard and reception following in the Tudor Room. The quaint garden space of the courtyard offered privacy with the benefit of being outdoors and on campus. Simple arrangements on either side of the ceremony site was all this space needed with all the beautiful annuals and perennials constantly in bloom in the garden.
The couple kept things simple at the reception. Instead of spreading the budget too thin they used their money to create a few larger pieces throughout the room. This benefited the space by making it look more decorated and lush. The cake was a showstopper, also baked by IMU catering, with flowers dripping down the side.

Studio Spotlight- Katie Vernon Illustrations

Katie Vernon: artist, landscaper and flower arranger extraordinaire has some awesome prints available at Peppertree's downtown shop or through her blog http://katievernon.blogspot.com/.

I especially love the floral motif used in her designs. Katie often creates designs on demand personalized to the clients home or vision.

I think it's just a matter of time before her artwork is too expensive for any of us to afford so snatch it up now. The prints in the store are only $55 each and worth every penny. One of her prints from this series has already sold out!

Dailies

Nice work Katie. Colorful AND seasonal. Mixed arrangement in my new red glass cubes. Thought they would be a classy solution to all the IU arrangements I get, white flowers in a beautiful red vase.
