Spring Color Schemes
Looking out my back window and seeing my Magnolia tree spurt into bloom makes me think of spring color combinations. Always a classic is ivory, white and subtle pink hues. To create a more modern look accents of brown add an element of something different. Looking through one of my favorite inspiration sites Style Me Pretty (http://www.stylemepretty.com/) I am drawn to the featured dress offered by Net-A-Porter (http://www.netaporter.com/).
This dress would be fabulous for an outdoor garden wedding with the bride carrying an array of spring flowers like local ivory Peonies, fragrant white Freesia, creamy garden Roses and a touch of a light pink Ranunculus. I also love the new "Talia" rose with an antique pink-taupe coloring. This would really bring out the champagne color of the dress. Certainly, if you wanted that classic but contemporary feel you could add a few velvety brown magnolia leaves.
I find there is no greater resource to new brides than all the new websites and blogs offered by some of the best designers in the county. It's always a great idea to start with inspiration found on these sites, magazines and books. Any wedding vendor you work with should be happy to take any of these materials into consideration when putting together your personal wedding design.
